Ruo Li

Teaches at Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art

Ruo Li is a Master signature member of Oil Painters of America. After receiving his BA degree from the famous Guangzhou Academy of Fine Art, he began to teach oil paintings at Henan University, which is one of the key universities in China. Li was later appointed as the vice director of the research center of its Fine Art Department. After teaching college students for eight years, he went to the United States to attend his personal show and eventually settled down in California in 1989. Five years later, he was chosen by U.S. Art magazine as one of “top ten artists to watch.” Li has won many awards, including the gold medal award for master signature members of OPA in 2010, grand prize at the Paint America National Exhibition in 2009, and first place in Landscape of International Artist Magazine in 2001, etc.
