The course was small and intimate and the teacher was very patient. Jalopy is a wonderful neighborhood music school that is truly unique. I'd love to explore music of a different genre, but I think that comes later :)
  • Vocal Harmony Workshop

All in all a really helpful, fun class. The instructors broke down harmony in such a way that it was easier to grasp. My one criticism was that the class was overbooked and the room got extremely cramped.

Great community, great instructors. Song choices and style wasn't what I'm used to singing but still great practice and learnings. Everyone was very welcoming and supportive. It was a cramped space and seemed to be overbooked, so maybe limiting the class size would be helpful!

I really, really loved Vocal Harmony Basics. As someone who has been picking up on harmonies as I listen to radio and subconsciously training my ear, I wanted to attend the class to delve into harmonies further. The class is for beginners, which I think suited me -- it really confirmed a lot of the things I had discovered on my own but had no one to ask about. The instructors were great -- knowledgeable, encouraging, and open to questions. I would definitely return to another class session!
