Showdown Stage Company

Showdown began in 2004 with a camp in Tamp Florida. We're very proud that our students come back year after year and that we've helped shape so many lives.

So Who Are We? Showdown was founded by Cindy Marcus, Flip Kobler and Dennis Poore. We all had our life changed by that one teacher that believed in us and gave us the tools, skills and confidence to follow our dreams. Cindy and Flip are prolific screenwriters, playwrights and novelists. We've written feature films, for Star Trek Deep Space Nine and spent 5 years at Disney where we penned the biggest selling video in history, The Lion King 2 and many other animated flicks. Dennis Poore is an award winning composer. His shows have run off-Broadway, aired on television and he is currently working with Julie Brown to turn their cult hit Earth Girls are Easy into a Broadway musical.
