Sew FYI is a fully functional sewing and design co-working studio. It is a space where creative minds bring their special ideas to reality. The concept for Sew FYI is similar to a gym - we provide the equipment, you bring the creativity. Our members have full access to tools and guidance to help them create their line, look, or project. Our studio is designed for the open sharing of ideas in a welcoming environment and coworking space. No experience necessary; we invite everyone from novice sewers to professional designers to join our community.

Very professional and gave me a lot of detailed information. Instructor was very helpful and hands on. Friendly too. Super happy with what I learned. (:
It was so fun to not only learn the machine basics but leaving class with a completed item was great! I’ll be taking more classes. Instructor was knowledgeable, positive and encouraging.
This class was exactly what I needed to start using my serger again. It was a great overview on the capabilities of a serger as well as a practical experience with learning how to thread a serger. I would have liked it to include a simple “ make and take” project. However, the two hour class flew by. That’s when I realized I was truly enjoying the class. The next day I started using my serger without any trepidation.
I found the class to be very informative. Teachers were very professional and good at what they do.
It was difficult to find the place- there was no signage. The instructor was very nice and the end result of the project was nice, but all of the pieces were precut which took away from the experience of making something on your own. Also, there are other students working on different projects at the same time with the same instructor and it all feels a bit chaotic.
Had such a blast with the Intro to Home Sewing Class. I emailed them prior asking if I needed any experience with a machine and they got back to me timely and said that I didn't. I ended up being the only one in the class that day so it was really amazing getting one-on-one guidance on how to use my machine (literally had never touched a sewing machine prior to that night). She walked me through EVERYTHING. Now I feel super confident to craft at home and make all the things! So excited for this new skill and for the tote bag I made in class :)
I have never used a sewing machine before and left 2 hours later with the most awesome canvas tote bag (if I do say so myself!) My instructor Jeanine (forgive me if I misspelled) was patient and knowledgeable and explained each step of the way. I could not have asked for a better experience, thank you!!!
class was nice, It boosted my confidence to continue with learning more about sewing. However, I do feel it was a bit overpriced for 2 hours. ***WARNING*** the main door to the building is locked , you have to wait for someone to be exiting in order to enter. Not sure if that door is locked in day hours, but it was locked for my evening class. Luckily, I was there early enough that I still had time to wait for someone to exit and arrive to the class on time.
The instructor was patient and knowledgeable.
This class was absolutely amazing, I came with little drawing skills and left motivated and inspired to take more classes and learn even more about illustration and fashion design. I really appreciated this class and the instructor! Totally worth attending this class
