Description

What you'll learn in this access class:

In this three-hour training session, you will learn how to apply filters to data using wildcards and SQL operators, sort records, convert a filter to a query, and create queries using the Wizard and from scratch. 

You will use INNER and OUTER joins in queries, parameters, grouping and calculations. Lastly, you will learn how to create simple forms and reports.

Version covered: 2016 for Windows

Prerequisites


This class is ideally suited for people who have taken our Access Beginning class or have at least six months of experience using Access.

Filtering Records
  • Filter records by menu, selection and form
  • Sort records by one or more fields
  • Toggle and remove filters and sorts
Querying Records
  • Create Select queries
  • The Query Wizard
  • Design a query from scratch
  • Filter data using a query
  • Join data from different tables
  • Inner vs Outer joins
  • Write calculations in a query

Refund Policy

  • You may cancel or reschedule a class registration at least 8 business days prior to the class without incurring any penalty.
  • After 8 business days, we may charge a penalty of up to 100% of the registration cost.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

In the event that an instructor or the school needs to cancel at the last minute, students will receive a refund less a 5% non-refundable registration fee.
