Do you have a great idea for Netflix or Amazon’s next hit series? Let a successful instructor help you transform your brilliant premise into a page-turning script! In this 5 week Online TV Pilot writing class, you’ll learn how to craft a great logline, structure a compelling story, plan a season arc that keeps the audience hooked, and break your pilot story just like they do in the writer’s room.
The instructor will show you how to dramatize and sprinkle in the right amount of plot, character and story for a one-hour show. Through in-class work shopping and pitching, you’ll clarify your tone, voice and world. By the end of this class, you’ll have created a Beat Sheet for your TV Pilot. Students can work on a 1/2 hour comedy, dramedy or 1 hour drama pilot in this class.
58 padders have been staffed & 35 won fellowships at ABC, Fox, CBS and NBC after taking our TV classes.
Note: If you’ve never taken a TV writing class before, we strongly recommend you take TV 101 or TV Comedy 101, and TV Structure for Pilot Writing or TV Character Driven Stories in addition to this class.
How our online classes work:
Online classes can be attended from anywhere with an internet connection. You’ll be able to see and hear both your teacher and your fellow students. For the best experience, we recommend attending online classes in a quiet space, and using headphones or a headset.
All sales are final and there are no refunds.
Credit may be offered based on class availability. If you can’t come to class, call or email us as far in advance as possible. We will do everything we can to fill your spot, but we can’t make any guarantees. Credit eligibility is not based upon your reason for being unable to attend a class; it is based upon the timing of your credit request and our ability to fill your spot. If we find someone to take your place, you will receive class credit minus a $25 processing fee for 1 day classes and $50 processing fee for long classes. In that case, your class credit will be good for a year from the original sign up date and will expire after that. Otherwise, you will forfeit your payment/payments.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
