Teaches at General Assembly
Alley Lyles is a newly minted Women in IT - Silicon Valley Transformation Leader of the Year.
Alley is a digital strategy consultant who specializes in user-centric product development and digital transformation for technology brands. Alley’s high-powered digital positions over the years have enabled her at Fortune 500 companies and start-ups based in Houston, Texas, and beyond. Her reputation for being a bright thought leader in her field led to two 40 Under 40 Award nominations by the Houston Business Journal. She launched her consulting company, Slink Interactive, in 2016 to provide companies with digital services inclusive of digital strategy, marketing operations, product marketing, data analytics, social listening, and social media management.
While earning a Master’s from Columbia University, Alley served on former Mayor Michael Bloomberg's first digital team to implement the City of New York's premiere digital road-map. A year later, she worked for Dell Business Consulting Services (now NTT Data), where she was the Consulting Principal for AIG, Adobe Systems, Dell Consumer Marketing, and Dell Social Marketing. This leadership position brought Alley to the boardroom, where she interfaced with CEOs to turn their corporate marketing goals into reality. The experience strengthened Alley’s desire to help businesses grow efficiently and creatively. So, she transitioned from in-house to a successful agency career, working on major projects for big brands like ExxonMobil, Neste US and Takeda Pharmaceuticals.
As a consultant, Alley is a digital transformation strategist who is razor-focused on providing ROI to clients. In doing so, she analyzes the business to develop an agile marketing plan. She also becomes more hands-on by staying with her clients for the long haul to help them adapt and hone in on the best strategies to provide long-term growth.
