Teaches at General Assembly

Matt currently is a global instructor for GA's Data Science Immersive program across the United States. Matt is a recovering politico, having worked as a data scientist for a political consulting firm through the 2016 election. Prior to his work in politics, he earned his Master's degree in statistics from The Ohio State University and his undergraduate degree at Franklin College in Indiana. Matt is passionate about putting the revolutionary power of machine learning into the hands of as many people as possible. When he's not teaching, he's volunteering with Statistics Without Borders, thinking about how to be a better teacher, falling asleep to Netflix, and/or cuddling with his pug.

In recognition of his exemplary service in the classroom, Matt has been selected as a member of General Assembly's Distinguished Faculty program. Matt serves as the chair of GA's Product Advisory Board for data science.

Sam is a Lead Instructor for General Assembly Denver's Data Science Immersive. Coming from a background in marketing and cloud computing, Sam made the leap to data science via General Assembly's data science immersive program in 2016. Since then, Sam has taught a variety of data related courses and workshops as well as greatly contributed to improving General Assembly's data science curricula. Sam enjoys working on personal projects that utilize his knowledge of web-scraping, recommender systems and visualizations or relaxing with a good beer and a challenging puzzle.

Charlie spent the first decade of his career in journalism and communications, until he saw computers starting to do his job. So he enrolled in the Data Science Immersive in DC and never looked back. He loves the flexibility of data science, the breadth and depth it can bring to just about any endeavor, and the way it sharpens critical thinking and discernment.

Edoardo is a data scientist with a mixed background, coming from computer engineering school and having worked with startups for almost two years.

Before becoming a data science instructor at GA, he worked as analyst in a startup accelerator in Italy, as developer and CTO in his own (failed) startup, as data scientist for the 6th largest online betting company in the world and, in Singapore, as data scientist for a startup in the healthcare space.

Edoardo is obsessed with trying to find the easiest way to explain complex data science concepts.

He likes data journalism, exploring food and DIY.

He doesn’t like pineapple on pizza and slides with a lot of content.

In recognition of his exemplary service in the classroom, Edoardo has been selected as a member of General Assembly's Distinguished Faculty program. Edoardo serves on the Product Advisory Board for GA's data science curriculum.
