Two full days of personalized coaching for actors – for film, TV and theater – with Director / Producer / Acting Coach – Tom Todoroff

You will learn why:
- the moment before can get you the job
- there are no “characters” in your script
- the words “random” and “whatever” are dangerous
- two hundred and fifty is a magic number
- your acting has little to do with why we cast you
Things to know:
- All correspondence pertaining to the Intensive will be done by email. No phone calls please except in the case of a true emergency.
- It is your responsibility to check your email regularly. If you have not heard back from us, please resend the email.
- Please include your phone number and email address in all correspondence.
- Performers will receive payment information with their acceptance letter. Please refrain from submitting payment to Perform until you’ve been accepted.
- Observers and Newcomer Observers may enroll directly on the website – they do not need to wait on an acceptance letter.
Walk ins are not accepted. This includes observers. Please make sure you’ve enrolled and received confirmation of your enrollment before attending.
What to Expect:
- All Performers receive a Syllabus upon acceptance. Please read the Syllabus fully and complete the three required reading books before the Intensive.
- Performers prepare a 3-4 minute scene with a scene partner. Performers are also asked to have a 1-2 minute monologue in case Tom asks to see additional material or in case their scene partner is absent for any reason.
- Choose a piece by one of the 250+ authors listed on our Syllabus. If you are committed to working on a piece by an author not on the syllabus, you must email us the script for review and approval at least four weeks in advance of the Intensive date.
- Read the entire play and understand the play.
- Appropriate dialect for the text. Please only work on a piece that requires a dialect if you are well-rehearsed and completely comfortable working in that dialect.
- Wear appropriate clothes for the period.
- If you have a scene partner, schedule rehearsals and honor the schedule!
- Basic furniture (chairs and a table) will be provided by the theater.
- Any additional props or furniture must be supplied by the actor. These must be taken home each night.
Refund Policy
INTENSIVES (U.S. and Abroad)
- Newcomer Observer:
- Tuition is non-refundable. Are those who have not previously attended a TT Event and the Tuition is only $20 and no discount is given.
- Observer Tuition:
- Observers have attended a previous TT event. Tuition is non-refundable.
- Performer Tuition: In the event of cancellation, please see the following:
- Performers may receive a full tuition refund if the cancellation is made 31 or more days before the Intensive AND it is due to a paid, professional acting conflict (proof of this job may be required).
- Performers may receive a tuition refund minus $100 if the cancellation is made 7 to 30 days before the Intensive AND it is due to a paid, professional acting conflict* (proof of this job may be required).
- Performers will not be refunded if the cancellation is made 6 days or less before the Intensive date.
- A paid professional acting conflict does not include 'background' or 'extra' work.
- Tuition is non-refundable. Enrolled actors may have their tuition credited to the very next class(es) they are able to attend within year if the cancellation is due to a paid, professional acting conflict*. (Proof of this job may be required.)
- A paid professional acting conflict does not include 'background' or 'extra' work.
- Tuition is non-refundable. Enrolled actors may have their tuition credited to any TT training program within one year if the cancellation is due to a paid, professional acting conflict*. (Proof of this job may be required.)

- Cancellation, refund and privacy policy terms for Conservatory tuition payments are outlined on the tuition agreement issued to accepted applicants.
